The Adoption Support Centre of Saskatchewan (ASCS) is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant. This position will be 18 to 21 hours per week. Our ideal candidate will have a
passion for, or connection to, the work ASCS does, be a professional, organized & be a friendly individual who is driven to provide excellent administrative support
in our office & to our clients.
Admin tasks:
-Office reception, answering, directing calls, scheduling appointments
-Accurate electronic (database) & hard-copy management of client files from start to referral
-Processing payments & receipts; Preparing & mailing information packages, letters, & library mail-outs; Assisting in compiling statistical reports, providing support to
the Domestic Adoption Orientation, PRIDE and general programming as required.
Qualifications:
-Relevant post-secondary education (administration, secretarial) is required -
-Proficiency in PC computers, typing, Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, working in a Database, and internet usage; Experience with Canva; Adobe and WordPress required
-Excellent communication & customer service skills
-Eye for detail, grammar, proof-reading
-Effective time-management skills & the ability to work independently & be part of a team with a team centered approach
-Professional, ethical & maintaining client confidentiality
-Previous work and/or volunteer experience in Office Administration and/or a Not for Profit organization is an asset
ASCS is a small, non-profit, community-based organization that provides education, information, and support services around adoption. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30AM to 4:30PM.
