Brief description of position and responsibilities:
1. Teach, coach and supervise nursing students in classroom, lab and clinical settings.
2. Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
3. Participate in the development, maintenance and revision of curriculum.
4. Participate in program, Campus, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, industry and professional or other stakeholder activities.
5. Travel will be required.
6. Must have experience in Obstetrics and Maternal health
Qualifications for the position:
1. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or in a related field.
2. Eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association.
3. Minimum of two years recent and relevant clinical/teaching experience in the area of medical-surgical nursing.
4. Current TLR certificate (participant level).
5. Effective communication skills (oral and written).
6. Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
7. Effective instructional ability.
8. Ability to apply the theory, practices and principles of medical-surgical nursing and adult education.
9. Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills.
10. Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources.
11. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
12. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
13. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
