We are currently recruiting for a Program Assistant. This is an in-scope administrative support position reporting to an ABE Coordinator or designate. The incumbent is primarily responsible for providing assistance in planning, organizing, and evaluating programs. The Program Assistant may act as a liaison between coordinators, instructors, administrative offices, funding agencies, and the community.
The Program Assistant may be assigned a variety of duties depending on the changing needs of the College. These duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collect student documentation and reports from instructors; assist in preparing program reports and scheduling report periods; distribute reports and documentation internally and externally as required;
Review program budget expenditures and match spending summaries from the accounting unit with the Coordinators spending record;
High level of knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically in Microsoft Excel is required.

The minimum qualifications for this position are: a one-year post-secondary certificate or an equivalent combination of education and one year of relevant experience may be considered.
The incumbent must be prepared to schedule hours of work according to the demands of the position including evenings and weekends when necessary. Must possess a valid drivers licence and be willing to travel to remote communities.
