Competencies:
(1) Grade XII education or Grade XII equivalent.
(2) Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to plan, train, direct, delegate, listen, evaluate, appraise, praise, problem solve, motivate and coach others. Completes yearly employee reviews and assists team members achieve their work related goals.
(3) Knowledge of legislation and policy governing the seizure, retention, release and handling of exhibits and found items.
(4) Demonstrated ability to articulate in writing and orally, very clear and concise messages.
(5) Demonstrated ability to develop and review routines and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the area.
(5) The ability to plan and execute plans to achieve desired results.
(6) Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Windows based information systems, including Word, Excel, IEIS, CPIC and SGI AutoFund.
(7) Must have the physical strength, mobility and flexibility to lift, store and retrieve items as required in the duties of the position.
(8) The ability to access, query and retrieve information from the police information systems as it relates to exhibit management.
(9) Minimum 50 wpm typing speed.
(10) Valid Class 5 Novice 1 (minimum) drivers license.
