Description

We are looking for Financial Controller to join our management team.
The Controller will manage the full cycle accounting operations, external and internal management financial reporting as well as overseeing the design, implementation and maintenance of the company's internal controls framework. The Controller will be responsible for the overall project finance and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the companys accounting records, management accounts and financial statements, to establish and implement sound accounting and financial management control systems so as to manage financial risk and optimize profitability for the company.
-Some Duties & Responsibilities:
Drive the initiatives of continual improvement of the accounting processes to insert strong control, streamline and automate processes.
Ensure the successful completion of key projects as assigned such as Accounting System conversion projects, and implementation of changes to accounting standards.
Oversee the internal policies, controls and procedure design and implementation including identifying opportunities to improve controls' effectiveness or efficiency, presenting findings and recommendations, and monitoring responses and remediation
Prepare financial statements, monthly reports, and analyze accounts to close month end accurately and provide relevant information to project, plant operation and corporate management.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in commerce, accounting, business or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
At least 5 years of managerial experience with a minimum of 5 years within audit and/or public company reporting
Professional Accounting designation (CPA)
Very good understanding of controlling or accounting processes
Construction Projects / Mining or similar industry experience
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
