Project Cost Controller

Position and Responsibilities
Camecos finance department provides a pivotal role in the overall success of the corporation. The project cost control team works directly with the Amped-Up project team to ensure the financial success of our various projects. We are looking for a professional, detail oriented and analytical team member to join Cameco in this challenging and rewarding role.
As a member of this dynamic team you will undertake various aspects of project cost control processes including project setup activities, monthly project accruals, monitoring actual costs, forecasting estimate to complete, analyzing the financial health of the project using metrics, and project reporting. Involvement in the change management process will also be a critical component of the role.
This is a temporary position for approximately two years.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in commerce, science, engineering, information technology or mathematics
One to three years of relevant work experience
Experience in finance, accounting or cost control
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Assets:
Experience in project cost control functions from owners perspective
Certification with the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering and experience with project cost estimating
Professional Accountant
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant certification (CMA, SCMP)
High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
SAP experience
