Duties:
Under the direction of the Program Manager
Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks;
Provide support to our managers and employees;
Answer and direct phone calls;
Book subs;
Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters;
Maintain contact lists; and attendance records;
Submit and reconcile petty cash;
Provide general support to visitors;
Act as the point of contact for clients;
Provide hands on support for participants with intellectual disabilities ages 3 years to adult
General Requirements
Experience and willingness to work directly with children with intellectual disabilities. Direct experience in working with children in general is an asset;
Access to a reliable vehicle, with third party liability insurance, and be willing to use vehicle for work duties;
Working knowledge of office equipment;
Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel and email;
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work;
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;
Experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant or office admin assistant is an asset
Physical requirements
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
The ability to respond quickly to sounds
The ability to move safely and quickly over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
The ability to perform cleaning duties
