Prairie Harm Reduction is seeking one (1) Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP) to staff our Safe Consumption Site (SCS) that is opening October 1st, 2020. The PCP will be responsible for:
-Building relationships with people who use drugs in a non-judgmental manner
-Educating people who use drugs on safer drug use
-Monitoring people while they use drugs to ensure that they are using as safely as possible
-Medically intervening during overdoses including but not limited to administering naloxone, administering oxygen, and performing CPR.
-Minor wound care
-Maintain SCS space in a safe clean manner, that adheres to Covid-19 precautions.
-Ensure statistics are kept up to date on SCS clients
-Crisis de-escalation
-Must be in good standing and have a valid registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level.
-Working knowledge of the legislation, protocols and scope of practice as applicable to EMS practitioners within the province of Saskatchewan

Must be able to start no later than September 14th 2020, prefered start date is September 1st, 2020.
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm, except statutory holidays, and one paid week off at Christmas.
Benefits: Paid by employer - Must successfully pass three (3) month probation period.
Vacation: 3 weeks accrued per 12 months
Sick Pay: 3 weeks accrued per 12 months
