The individual will bring a variety of experience and skills including:

Working independently or with others you have the ability to multitask
Goal oriented and committed to meeting deadlines
Represent the College by ensuring the public has access to safe and competent optometric care
Ensure the College processes are transparent and fulfill the legislative and regulatory mandate
Triage complaints to the applicable College representative
Regulate and license all practicing Saskatchewan optometrists
Advocate and advance optometric care to the highest standards
Increase public awareness: importance of vision care, early childhood eye examinations, and eye safety in the workplace
Ensure the accessibility of optometric services throughout the province
Foster employee engagement and empowerment
Demonstrate a solid understanding of policy development and financial management
Ability to perform job functions including lifting boxes, extended and computer typing
Experience with preparing and analyzing budgets, processing payroll, CRA and GST returns
Well versed in proper board governance
Proactively seeks ideas for service, member engagement and program improvements
Successfully develop strategic relationships with elected officials and industry partners
Guide and implement the strategic goals and objectives of the Association
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher or a Certified Association Executive designation
Minimum of 5 years of senior management
