Accounting Technician
Our client, Wilkinson Livingston Stevens LLP (WLS) is currently seeking an Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper for a full-time permanent position in Lloydminster.
MUST HAVE Qualifications:
Accounting diploma and 0-2 years in public practice preferred but not required
Experience with MS Excel spreadsheets and a good working knowledge of MS Word
Ability to perform a variety of tasks including payrolls, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial statement preparation.
Prepares compilation, review, and audit engagements, including financial statements
Prepares a variety of corporate tax returns including T2s, T4s, T5s, charity returns, T5013, etc.
Prepares personal tax returns
Prepare farm program applications
Above average analytical skills in order to provide relevant information and identify key issues and relationships to determine appropriate course of action to rectify deficiencies
Excellent business writing and oral communication skills
Proven ability to work in a team environment dealing with people from various disciplines to achieve goals and to identify and resolve problems with minimal supervision
Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Exceptional skills in multi-tasking in a changing environment, often under pressure and within rigid time constraints
Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking
