Reporting to the Manager of Workplace Health and Wellness, the Safety and Attendance Support Associate provides support in the development, implementation and maintenance of all Regina Public Schools health and safety-related programs, including case management for illness and workplace injuries.
The Safety and Attendance Support Associate will support and collaborate with school administrators and the Facilities department to ensure compliance with OH&S regulatory requirements, to coordinate ongoing review and updates of safety and emergency response planning, and to conduct workplace inspections and incident investigations. The Associate will provide safety and related training to employees. The incumbent will coach and mentor leaders within the organization in attendance management practices and will be actively involved in claims management, return-to-work and accommodation processes.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in supporting and implementing OH&S programming, formal health and safety certificates and training such as Health and Safety Administrator Program or OH&S Certificate Program and indepth knowledge of OH&S legislation and other applicable regulatory requirements, including a working knowledge of case law and WCB legislation regarding accommodation, stay-at-work and return-to-work processes.
We are offering a salary of $68,000 - $78,000, as well as a competitive benefit package.
