The Opportunity
The Journeyman Plumber provides support to the Manager of Facility Services through plumbing code interpretation, facility plumbing and HVAC upgrades, project planning and budget management.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The Role Description for the Journeyman Plumber is outlined in Role Description
Knowledge of plumbing terminology, systems, reading/designing plumbing schemas/blueprints, and plumbing layouts.
Knowledge of operating, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems of various applications including HVAC systems.
Knowledge of safety procedures for the installations, repair and maintenance of Plumbing/HVAC systems.
Knowledge of Fire & Building Codes.
Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
Knowledge of the Saskatchewan & Canadian Plumbing Code.
Valid Class 5 License.
Qualifications
Valid Journeyman Certificate in the plumbing trade.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in commercial plumbing/HVAC installations & maintenance of control systems.
Level I & II Occupational Health and Safety Regulations is preferred.
Preference given to individuals with HVAC experience, controls, and commercial boiler experience as well as candidates with dual trade or certification in low voltage would be beneficial
