Description

The Strategic Systems and Innovation Branch provides direction in information management and the use of technology to support business strategies. Our branch employs individuals who can fill a role within the increasingly dynamic nature of program delivery in the public sector.

We are seeking a well-rounded professional to join us as a Technical Coordinator in Regina. Your primary duties will be: administering the terms and conditions of Service Level Agreements (SLA) and/or Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with key Ministry vendors such as ITD; reviewing and assessing the level and quality of IT service being provided to the Ministry; evaluating and making recommendations to modify the Ministrys existing hardware and application policies to ensure the equipment and tools will support current and future business needs; planning, scheduling and organizing meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and status updates; following up and resolving IT service delivery issues between the Ministry and Vendors; and coordinating projects to improve the functionality of IT services.

Our successful candidate will work independently as well as with the Technology Design and Delivery team. You will have knowledge of: project management principles, processes and tools/techniques; best practice framework approaches intended to facilitate the delivery of high-quality information technology; service Delivery methodologies;and desktop operating systems such as Windows 10 and productivity suites such as Microsoft Office.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position are obtained through the completion of a degree in an information technology-related discipline (Computer Science, Commerce or Business Administration) and/or significant related experience. Experience in SharePoint or JIRA would be considered an asset.
