Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. is the world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility with approximately 192 employees and an annual production capacity of 424,000ADMT.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Process Engineer will work closely with Technical and Operations personnel in conducting process monitoring and optimization. They will also provide laboratory support by performing maintenance on the lab equipment and completing calibrations of pulp testing equipment.
Assisting with the following responsibilities:
- Monitor the operation on a daily basis
- Evaluate new or existing processes and equipment to further optimize production, quality and costs
- Review operating reports and recommend solutions to any deviations from control targets
- Conduct pulp quality testing and mill chemistry surveillance as requested
- Reviewing historical data
- Some analytical testing of process streams
- Collaboration with plant personnel and other industry partners
Qualifications:
- Completion of Second or Third year Chemical Engineering
- Experience working in an industrial facility is considered an asset
- Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs is required
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Flexible, well organized and ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillscustomer focused
- A high sense of urgency with regards to operational requirements.
