Description

The City of Humboldt is currently seeking a temporary Collections Clerk in the Cultural Services Department for a total of 785 hours in 2020. This position will be based at the Museum and the Gallery.

Under the overall general direction of the Director of Cultural Services or designate; the employee in this position will catalogue, digitize, and arrange for the storage of material donated after the 2018 Broncos tragedy. The material is primarily documents, but also includes art, photographs, banners, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Collections and Administration Clerk, processes and catalogues the Broncos Memorial Collection using standardized documentation.
Creates digital images of the collection.
Records cataloguing information in the database.
Properly places the material in storage.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Recognize and possess strong interpersonal abilities with emphasis on possessing a positive and cooperative attitude.
Excellent communication skills  written and verbal.
Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.
Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision.
Able to handle sensitive material with confidentiality.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Experience with cataloguing and data entry.
Experience with digital photography.

HOURS OF WORK
Total of 785 hours starting in March and completed before November 2020, and scheduled within Museums regular working hours of Tuesday  Saturday from 8:30 am  5:00 pm
