Description

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with all payroll-related activities, such as time entry, balancing, adjustments, and filing
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of various HR/Payroll employee communications, letters and employment verifications
- Support hiring and onboarding processes, including but not limited to assisting with first-day orientation activities and employee setup
- Prepare and deliver HR/Payroll reports as required and requested
- Distribute, collect and track various employee forms, such as for benefits and retirement savings enrollments
- Help with all event planning, community involvement and culture-boosting initiatives
- All other duties as required and assigned, including but is not limited to supporting and assisting with Finance duties such as cheque printing and mailouts, creation of invoice back-up, filing, and data analysis of orders.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have post-secondary education in the field of Business Administration, Commerce, Human Resources and/or Finance
- Previous Human Resources and/or Payroll work experience is required
- Experience using ADP Payroll is considered an asset
- Technically proficient with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking
- Friendly customer service skills, and able to handle a high volume of employee questions, phone calls and emails in our fast-paced work environment
- Proven analytical and accuracy skills
- Proactive, self-starter, and able to work independently
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality and sensitivity
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Optimistic and able to handle stress both calmly and professionally
- Able to work in a dynamic environment that is continuously changing and growing
