Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Analyst will assist with the full accounting cycle ensuring application of sound accounting principles or practices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial information in coordination with the Financial Controller
-Record and maintain fixed asset register and applicable depreciation and amortization schedules
-Provide support in compilation of annual budget information
-Provide support in compilation of monthly forecasts
-Provide support with the preparation for external Auditors
-Prepare variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations to management
-Prepare and reconcile tax filings including Annual Corporate Tax filings and monthly Sales Tax filings
-Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
-Maintain financial records by entering and verifying data
-Process transactions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, general ledger and inventory
-Any other duties as assigned by Management
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration
-Minimum 3 years experience in accounting or finance
-Experience working with Canadian tax law as it applies to manufacturing
-Member of a professional accounting body is considered an asset but not required
