Description

Community Connections Early Learning & Childcare Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic ECE to fill the position of Assistant Director within our centre.  The Assistant Director will assist in the program planning within the centre, ensuring all aspects of a child's development are incorporated and that all activities are child centered. The Assistant Director plays a vital role in providing positive leadership, guidance and support to all Early Childhood Educator's, students and volunteers.  The Assistant Director will be responsible for ensuring the safe and quality care of all children at all times and ensuring the Early Childhood Educator's are in compliance with all Community Connections policies and procedures as well as all responsibilities and duties outlined in their job descriptions.  
In conjunction with the above duties the Assistant Director assists the Executive Director in the recruitment and hiring of all new staff and the formal and informal evaluation of staff by providing feedback and coaching.  In the absence of the Executive Director the Assistant Director will be responsible for the duties assigned by the Executive Director.

Preference will be given to applicants that hold a Level II or level III in Early Childhood Education.  Previous ECE or Assistant Director experience is an asset.
Successful candidates will be required to provide employer with a clean criminal record and vulnerability check, standard First Aid & CPR certificate and a Safe Food Handler's certificate.
