Community Intervention Model- Will supervise & direct a team of on call outreach workers,contracted addiction and cultural workers & lived experience mentors.
Responsibilities will include:
Being familiar with and carrying out Program requirements, and participating in g program start-up;
Supervising and directing the Program and those employed to deliver it, under the advice and direction of the Steering Committee;
Engaging and working with and reporting to the Ministry of Corrections and Policing and Agency delivering services in southern Saskatchewan,
Engaging and working with the agency delivering services in southern Saskatchewan, partners, criminal justice stakeholders, community organizations and individuals having an interest in the program, its referrals and outcome;
Identify partnerships for services in the community;
Be responsible for and monitor compliance with contracted goals and requirements, including: client to staff ratio, risk-management implementation, staff training and client programming, record keeping, reporting, and privacy;
Participate in outreach work on a limited basis, with a view to improving the experience for client and outreach worker, alike;
Advocate in justice, corrections, social services sectors and for community supports;
Provide information about services and opportunities in the community; and
Meet with staff to help develop new initiatives and strengthen organizational strategies
Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks
Valid Driver's License
Knowledge of First Nations & Metis traditions, protocols and cultural practices
Knowledge of community support programs
Practical, organized, decisive, motivated to learn and open-minded
Excellent personnel management, administrative interpersonal, communication, negotiation and mediation skills
Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
Understanding of professional boundaries
