Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
(1) Knowledge of theory and practices of psychology specializing in occupational stress injuries.
(2) Knowledge of validated psychological assessment tools for evaluating fitness-for-duty.
(3) Demonstrated experience using evidence-based assessments and treatments for post-traumatic stress injuries. Knowledge of best practices regarding mental health strategies and programs to maintain psychological health and wellbeing.
(4) Communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and partnerships to achieve desired results.
(5) Ability to research best practices in the area of mental health and first responders.
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
(1) PhD in Clinical Psychology preferred.
(2) Registered Psychologist in good standing with the SK College of Psychologists (or eligible registration in SK) with APE (Authorized Practice Endorsement).
(3) Four to six years of related experience in the field of Clinical Psychology.
(4) Experience with first responders is an asset.
(5) Experience with program development and evaluation would also be an asset.
