Responsibilities:
Answer and direct incoming calls
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
Organize, process and input various documentation
Monitor office inventory and order supplies and equipment
Prepare documents for distribution, mailing and filing
Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
Accounts receivables/payables
Maintaining filing system
Reconcile and balance accounts
Required Skills:
Post-secondary education in accounting and 1-2 years of office experience
Knowledge of Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to make well educated and timely decisions and be able to explain them
Be a team player, well organized, and excellent time management skills
Have strong English communication skills both spoken and written, with the proven ability to communicate with respect and professionalism
Motivated and able to complete tasks with little to no supervision
Reliable, organized, dependable, adaptable and flexible for changing priorities
Experience with entering PO receipts and AP invoices
Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
The ability to enter data quickly and with excellent accuracy
Personable and helpful, with a can-do attitude
Specific Skills
Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met, carry out administrative activities of establishment, maintain inventory and budgetary controls. Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence. Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures including safety documentation.
