Saskatchewan Horse Federation (SHF) is the provincial equestrian sport governing body with over 4,000 individual members & 134 member clubs. The SHF is a dynamic & growing organization that takes pride in delivering quality service & programs that encourage life-long participation in equestrian activities.
The CFDC will have experience, education, skills and personal attributes necessary to provide primary leadership and support to the areas of communication and funds development.
Key Responsibilities:
To develop & implement communications, marketing & branding strategies which support relationship building with stakeholders & enhance the image of SHF, its values & brand.
Responsibilities:
- maintain SHFs branding strategy & strengthen its image, brand & reputation
- collaborate with staff to develop and execute the annual communications plan
- support Executive Director in sponsorship development
- develop internal and external communication materials including brochures, print and e-newsletters or magazines
- develop all PR communications, including engaging social media content as primary tool
- ensure member-driven content aligns to SHF values and Code of Conduct
- communicate SHF stories that demonstrate the quality of SHF activities
- attend SHF events & provide onsite support as needed
- develop print & electronic materials & clothing in line with brand standards
- other responsibilities as assigned, matching the skill set of the candidate.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5 years experience & proven abilities in communications & marketing.
- Experience in member development & non-profits an asset.
- Experience with social media and website development.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to function under pressure.
- Equine or equestrian experience would be an asset.
