Create detailed technical design specifications, and make suggestions for various solutions within Cram to meet business needs with the goal of minimizing customizations
Ensure designs are complete and documented, understood and kept up to date
Maintain control of the Design documents
Estimating effort for development of solutions
Refactoring customized code to work in an upgraded environment including documentation and unit testing
Refactoring configurations as appropriate
Analysis of reported defects and technical issues through to solutions
Escalating technical constraints and challenges to the Lead Developer/Cram Architect
Meeting regularly with the technical development team to ensure technical issues and approach are resolved
Working closely with Test Team to ensure that all functionality has test cases written and automated tests are updated as required
Participating in code reviews and other methods to ensure quality, consistent adherence to development best practices, methodology and standards
Qualifications:
Cram Developer Certification
Minimum of 1 year experience in configuration and development with Cram version 6
Minimum of 3 years of experience in configuration and development with any version of Cram
Minimum of 5 years experience in Development in a Java/J2EE including Cram development experience
Minimum of 2 years experience with a source code tool such as StarTeam
Minimum of 3 years experience with AIX/UNIX/LINUX environments
Demonstrated experience with Cram functionality
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate root causes
Demonstrated experience with Rational Rose or Rational Software Architect and modeling using UML
Experience in Client Server, Multi-tier and Web environment using Java, IBM Websphere, Cram framework and J2EE technologies
