Alliance Energy Ltd. is looking for a Health & Safety Administrator to complete the day to day administrative and clerical needs for the Health and Safety Department. This position works 25-30 hours per week (depending on the candidate) with flexible work hours. Responsibilities will include:
-Maintain all health and safety employee records and files
-Create, implement, and maintain safety training matrices (strong Excel skills are required)
-Gather workplace inspections, incident reports, JHAs, site specific hazard assessments, and all other relevant documentation
-Complete data entry as required including tracking and compiling statistics
-Review OH&S meeting minutes and assist with proofing and forward the information to the appropriate parties as needed
-Research H&S topics if directed
-Revise and review company safety manual
-Schedule and track safety training
-Maintain spreadsheets for tracking certifications, statistics and compliance.
-Develop and update forms for use in the H&S department to keep up with standards
We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
-Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products and e-mail required
-Knowledge of safety issues in the construction industry and knowledge of the OH&S Act and Regulations would be considered an asset
