The Cathedral Area Coop Daycare is a growing early childhood center based in the heart of the Cathedral Area that offers its employees flexible works hours, meaningful work and strong community support. We are well-established childcare center that is known for its strong sense of community and the quality of care we provide our children and their families.
Requirements:
-Diploma in Early Childhood Education and certification as an ECE I as determine by the Ministry of Education.
-Willingness to further pursue ECE training requirements to meet certification, where applicable.
-Possession of or willingness to attend Professional Development workshops (two workshops per year).
-Provide a clear Criminal Record Check
-CPR and First Aid Certificate.
-Previous experience in the field of childcare
-A willingness to work with different age groups
-Ability to create positive relationships with children and their families
-Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all the children enrolled in the centre
-Available to work variety of hours (7:30am-5:30pm Monday -Friday)
-Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
-Possess skills for cleaning duties
Responsibilities:
-To deliver early learning and childcare services in alignment with the centre philosophy.
-To carry out developmentally appropriate programming for children age 5 to 12 years old.
-To be aware of philosophies and methods in early childhood education.
-To follow centre operational policies and procedures.
-Ability to work cooperatively and supportively with staff and parents.
