The Battlefords Housing Authority manages a property and program portfolio on behalf of the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation.  We provide affordable housing to low-income seniors, families and individuals who might not otherwise access safe, secure shelter within the community.

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this full time cleaning position is responsible to ensure properties managed by the Housing Authority are kept clean and safe.  Duties will be performed in an efficient manner following prescribed methods, demonstrating strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
-Maintain cleanliness of public areas on a scheduled basis by: sweeping, vacuuming, steam cleaning carpets, dusting, emptying trash cans, etc.
-Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
-Clean vacant units in preparation for occupancy, conduct minor repairs as necessary (change light bulbs, adjustments to hardware)
-Promote good working relationships with tenants, respond to tenant maintenance requests within areas of responsibility.
-Report safety concerns or need for major repairs to ensure the safety and security of properties and tenants.

Qualifications:
-Grade XII or equivalent; 1-3 years experience in residential or commercial cleaning
-Valid Drivers license and use of own vehicle
-Recognition of and respect for peoples diversity; ability to maintain confidentiality.
-Experience operating cleaning equipment is an asset
-Ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, stand for extended periods.
