Come Join Our Team as an Estimating Manager!

Established in 1991, Saskarc Inc. is an industry-leading custom metal fabrication company. We serve the oil and gas, power generation, mining, construction, government and petrochemical industries across North America.

Summary:

The Estimating Manager is responsible to provide leadership, coordination and management for the preparation of high quality, consistently prepared and sufficiently accurate estimates which effectively support the Sales Department in the acquisition of new projects and can be successfully replicated in the execution phase of the project.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Steel Fabrication and/or Construction Industry required, with minimum 5 years of directly related estimating experience within the Steel Fabrication Industry, with preference given to shop fabrication experience;
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals
- Proven Competency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of lump sum, unit rate and T&M estimates
- Working knowledge of the following standards: API, ASME, AWS, CSA, CSA and NACE
- A team player who is self-motivated and has strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment where multi-tasking and effectively responding to changing priorities is a necessity;
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and clients;
-Adaptable and flexible with taking on new opportunities as assigned by the Operations Manager
