Part time position for Early Childhood Educator Monday to Friday (5 hrs/day) between 10:30 and 3:30.
Knowledge of Cree language and culture may be a
preference. Must have Standard 1st Aid & CPR Level C, CIP, and be
medically/physically fit to work with infants (up to 18 months) Salary according to grid. Teen Centre follows High School Calendar.

Early Childhood Education Skills
- Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
- Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
- Assess the developmental level of children
- Knowledge of licensing regulations
Additional Skills
- Maintain day care supplies and equipment
- Assist in housekeeping duties
- Assist in maintaining records of children
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
- Prepare and serve snacks
- Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
- Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
- Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
- Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
