The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), Southeast Area invites applications for the position of family physician in a rural family medicine practice in the town of Moosomin. This physician will work collaboratively with the Moosomin Family Practice Clinic (MFPC) and the SHA in the provision of Primary Health Care Services to the community of Moosomin and surrounding area. The physician will work in an interdisciplinary team environment that supports acute care, emergency care, long term care and primary care with an equitable share of call.
The position includes a full range of practice, which would include admitting privileges and access to the health authoritys resources such as home care, in house pharmacy, laboratory services, radiology services, etc. Future enhancements to services in the community include potential itinerant specialist clinics supporting obstetrics/gynecology and gastroenterology.
Qualifications:
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan. Applicants will also hold ACLS certification.
