The IT Manager will work with and oversee outside consultants on desktop support, network and infrastructure support, on site servers and cloud services. This is a working IT role that requires leadership capabilities and a willingness to get your hands dirty and work with users pre and post-implementation.
o Maintain the companys ISO 27001
o Work with the Operations Director and Risk Manager, to manage and mitigate risks
o Keep the infrastructure available and up-to-date with an emphasis on security and reliability
o Conduct vulnerability testing
o Oversee the deployment and operations of Windows and Unix servers. Install and maintain virtual machines in VMware.
o Plan and execute strategic IT projects. Oversee backups and effective disaster recovery plans
o Enforce company IT and security policies and procedures for all employees
o Prepare long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, and acquisition of the resources needed to support them
o Update Business Requirements and Software Requirements Specifications
o Develop instructional documentation and provide training for internal users
o Manage & report on the IT Budget including forecast costs, equipment and personnel needs for projects and programs as required and related to IT operations
o Oversee local area network management including network security, fiber connectivity, switches, routers, firewalls and all network administration requirements
o Establish network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed, and maintains active directory infrastructure.
o Monitors the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and responds accordingly through service tickets.
o Degree, Diploma or Certificate in information systems, network engineering, or related field
o 5+ years of IT Engineering/Operations experience.
