ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Assistant Executive Director will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director in managing, overseeing and maintaining the overall operations of the facility activities, both internal and external, and assures quality care is provided to our residents. This individual will also be assisting the Executive Director in the coordinates of activities to ensure compliance with established standards as set out in the various legislation that affects the facility.
The Assistant Executive Director must possess the skills necessary to make decisions, as well as provide leadership. They must possess strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with employees, the Executive Director, the residents, and the community. In addition, this person requires a sound knowledge of all federal, provincial and municipal regulations that affect the operation of the facility.
Qualifications:
Must have current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
Must have experience working as a nurse, preferably in geriatrics.
Must have a minimum of one (1) year in a managerial role.
Has held a senior position in a retirement residence, long term care home, or hospital is preferable.
Must be available to work long hours and odd hours.
Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be computer literate.
