AGT Foods is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Software Developer to join our Head Office team in Regina, SK in the position of Application and Solutions Developer.
This position reports to the Manager, Applications and Systems Development.
You will be working as part of a small team developing new and maintaining existing web applications used by both internal employees and external users. You will be developing responsive web applications in an Agile/Iterative approach. Since we are a small team, you will be expected to be self-motivated, to be able to work well to achieve your goals with a minimum of supervision, and to be able to work directly with subject matter experts when required. Depending on the skills you bring to the position and your areas of interest, there will be opportunities to contribute also in other related areas.
Required Skills
Experience building web applications using HTML, CSS and JS.
Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, React or Angular
Experience with RESTful web services
Preference may be given to candidates who have:
Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony) or Node.js
Strong understanding of Git (Bitbucket) or other version control systems
Experience dealing directly with end users and/or business analysts to design solutions.
Experience in working effectively with a minimum of supervision
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Experience integrating with a variety of web APIs
Knowledge of agricultural systems
Our Applications and Solutions development team is a small centralized team that works with our internal business analysts and users to define, build, and maintain solutions based around our internal and external Web Applications and our Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system.
