TAG Safety Services has an immediate opening for a Safety Advisor located in Lloydminster. The activities to be carried out shall include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Update and communicate safety requirements to clients
Support clients in their response to health and safety concerns that may impact their Company
Be involved in worksite inspections to detect existing or potential incidents and hazards, assist on collaborating to determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented
Assist in investigation of incidents and injuries as required for clients
Maintain safety files and records, both paper & electronically
Maintain written safety programs and reporting requirements
Assist in developing training programs and conducting onsite training for clients
WCB Claims Management
Assist and conduct monthly/quarterly HSE Meetings for Clients on site
Develop Safe Work Procedures and Formal Hazard Assessments
Assist and support in the Annual Audit Process for Clients
Monitor all reporting requirements and processes, i.e. Incident Logs, Action Trackers, Training Databases, etc., as necessary
Qualifications:
NCSO or equivalent is preferred
Auditor Status is an asset
Experience in Transportation is considered an asset
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment
Strong computer skills are essential; proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Well organized, methodical, and proficient in administration practices
Outstanding communication abilities
High level of ethics and integrity
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Superior time-management and problem-solving skills
