Description

This is a direct service position working directly with clients and families providing one on one and group support. Experience in and knowledge of mental health issues and Cognitive Behavior Therapy is an invaluable asset. The ideal candidate will be able to provide families with resources, build community connections, and have a good understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and what that means for families.  The Social Worker will act as a community liaison with other agencies and partners and provide education related to Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Qualifications
-At minimum, possess a Bachelor of Social Work from an accredited university
-Registered member of the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers
-Previous work experience or knowledge of ASD would be an asset
-Ability to deal with complex cases and crisis situations
-Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with other team members
-Possession of a valid drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required
-Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office  
Scope of work
-Is responsible for the provision of direct support to ASD clients, and their families
-Provides group support sessions for family members and clients
-Prepares/presents educational presentations for various community stake holder groups
