Duties
Client CareoPlan children activitiesPlan and purchase in-house recreation, crafts and educational program supplies Ensure documentation of said activities is doneEnsure activities are age and ability appropriate and stimulating and learning appropriate and funoAs part of the Support Team Maintain case plans and coordinate with Social Services as needed
Plan structure, guidance, and a safe home-like environmentoAssess, listen, support, validate and document interaction oProvide transportation as requiredoReferrals and advocating for children in homeoEnsure liaise with schools is maintained Daily Operations
oEnsure adequate supplies are maintained with regard to household, crafts and recreationoEnsure shift rotation if adhered to and time sheets are filled out and submitted as per requirements of finance departmentoRequirement to be involved in an on call shift rotation for managementoAssist with hiring, scheduling and supervision of staff
oEnsure purchases are as per the budgeted and allowed expensesoEnsure tasks are prioritized and delegated to staff and volunteers oEnsure household/yard cleaning as scheduled and as per OH&S standardsoEnsure the Social Services minimum requirements for our facility are adhered to by all staff and volunteersoPlan and ensure meals/snacks are appropriate oMaintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep (gas and oil)
oEnsure donations are recorded, sorted and washed prior to storageoEnsure required reporting is done accurately and in a timely manner to all levels of management and contracts
Qualifications
Post secondary education in business admin, human resources, or a combination of education and experience with a minimum of 5 years in management with a supervisory roleKnowledge of child growth, development and behaviors is considered an assetCrisis management skills are an assetAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, nights and weekendsExperience and knowledge of Microsoft Office
