Beginning in 1989 as a transformer maintenance and repair shop, PTI Transformers Inc. (PTI) has grown progressively and is now an innovative leader in the electrical industry producing some of the most ground breaking, cost-effective, and high quality solutions for transformers globally.  The Company's 140+ employees currently manufacture and service liquid-filled distribution and small to medium size power transformers from a 100,000 square foot facility in Regina. The Mechanical Designers primary responsibilities are to timely and accurately develop and issue design documentation for oil-filled transformers and power distribution equipment in accordance with all required specifications and standards.

In addition to other duties that may be assigned responsibilities may include:

    Preparation and issue of mechanical documentation to facilitate production commitments.
    Creation of the most economical mechanical designs without sacrificing reliability and quality.
    Producing Parts Lists, scaled fabrication and transformer assembly drawings to applicable specifications and standards using CAD software and data management tools provided.
    Producing and maintain drawing libraries for standard parts and assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have a certificate or degree in mechanical engineering with knowledge in electrical power distribution and transmission plus work experience in a manufacturing environment.  

In order to be considered for this position, you MUST already be living in Canada and be eligible to work, as we do not have an open LMIA. A criminal record check will be conducted before hire.
