Duties:
Maintain confidential record of client interactions ensuring each case is properly documented
Maintain notes relating to community contacts, presentations and workshops
Ensure traditional, holistic and new healing methods to medical models best practices
Provide specific Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder training to raise awareness
Attend meetings, maintain notes and record suggestions for future presentations and programs
Conduct all tasks with regard to any or relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Participate in various communities and boards related to program activities and responsibilities
Must manage a number of people, priorities and projects at one time, and may have to respond to emergency or crisis situations
Must be aware of all YTC health and social development programming along with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Travel to communities on a regular basis in all weather conditions while ensuring personal safety
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Maternal Child Health Coordinator will liaise with government agencies relating to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Maternal Child Health Coordinator programming and health initiatives
Qualifications:
Must have a Diploma and specialized training in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, facilitator and mediation training or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
A minimum of 3-year experience in managing counseling and/or addictions programs supported by the knowledge and understanding of First Nations language, culture, traditions and social issues.
Must be willing to travel and must possess a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle and must submit a current Criminal Record Check.
