JOB SUMMARY
Supports the Finance Manager in recording and retrieving financial /business functions of a unit.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Experience working within a finance department
Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook and Xyntax Software systems
Good communications and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monthly Bank Reconciliations.
Work closely with Finance Manager to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.
Show transparency and accountability by following fiscal/Finance Policy Manual
Maintain an organized and up to date filing system
Support the Finance Manager by inputting data from source documents into Accounting System or Computer Programs
Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices
Prepares or assists in preparing various financial or administrative reports.
Assist with end pf year audit preparations and procedures
A certain level of flexibility regarding availability outside normal working hours maybe required along with other duties assigned by immediate Supervisor or Executive Director
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE;
Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Maintain a clear CPIC with Vulnerable Sector Check
Maintain Confidentiality must sign an Oath of Confidentiality annually
Preference given to Aboriginal Ancestry under E-96 of the Human Rights Code
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Office Location: Spiritwood, SK.
Non-standard hours (evenings and weekends) may be required
Travelling is required.
Sitting for long periods of time
High stress workplace due to tight deadlines and heavy workloads
