Metro MFG. is a Moose Jaw based machine and fabrication shop specializing in supplying local companies with high quality metal products both machined and welded assemblies. We are presently accepting applications for a full time Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team.
You must be an experienced fabricator with an ability to read blueprints and follow drawings to fabricate steel stud walls and structural frames for pre-fab building products.
Must be CWB Certified and detailed orientated. Experience in the construction industry would be considered an asset.
Familiar with a variety of welder concepts, practices and procedures. Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, read blueprints, and/or other printed instructional material in the welding of products of parts. Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves and gas cylinders. Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Inspect and maintain functional equipment.
Must have a willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
