Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. is the world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility with approximately 200 employees and an annual production capacity of 414,000 ADMT.

Reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Technologist will work as a part of a team which maintains, troubleshoots and optimizes mechanical rotating process equipment in the mill.
Responsibilities:
- Supports millwrights performing routine planned predictive and corrective maintenance (some hands-on work will be required).
- Support planning of mechanical maintenance in conjunction with Supply Chain and Operations personnel.
- Assist in troubleshooting
- Assists reliability personnel with vibration and other condition monitoring techniques.
- Designs and develops small projects for construction.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in Mechanical Technologist program or equivalent and have completed first year.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Mechanical experience
- Computerized drafting and design skills (e.g.: AutoCAD).
- SAP or other enterprise business software
- Working in a collaborative team environment
Preference will be given to qualified local and regional Saskatchewan applicants.
