Thank you.
Technologists in our Regional Services groups provide front-line service to a wide range of customers from farmers and homeowners, to rural municipality administrators and councillors, people who work with other government agencies, watershed associations, irrigation districts, engineering consulting companies and others. Youll divide your time between the office and the field, handling a broad spectrum of water management activities, including project inspections, water supply issues, dam structure operations, agricultural drainage, flood protection and others. Every day will be different and challenging and WSA is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join us in performing this important work.
As a member of this team you will apply your knowledge and have experience in survey techniques and procedures, field observation skills, air photo interpretation, applicable legislation and related principles, and applicable legal documentation. You will effectively interact with clients, and defuse potentially difficult and or dangerous situations, as well as the ability to independently handle issues to ensure outcomes are in compliance with WSA guidelines and legislation.
The successful candidate should possess a diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline, and will have, or will be eligible to obtain and maintain registration with Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT) as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.).
