Description

This position reports to the SITAG Coordinator & carries out the following:

Familiarize him/herself with the Thunder Security Access Control Manual and other Thunderchild applicable acts & policies
Provide access control manual to newly hired employees
Prepare purchase order/cheque requisitions for approval
Scheduling of staff shifts & replacing staff if required on a moments notice
Collecting & reviewing & approving time sheets by signing off and ensuring timesheets are properly completed
Be on call
Willing to stay at sites for 3 nights out of the week/usually weekends
Assist security staff/may include providing transportation to job site
Keeping records of maintenance of trucks/oil changes, etc.
Keeping inventory of security trucks, log books, licenses
Review if any personal protective equipment needed
Provide incident reports to immediate supervisor

Qualifications:
Previous security work experience
Grade 12 equivalency
Security training certificate by recognized institution
Must complete a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Driver's license required
Experience working in a First Nation community
Ability to speak Cree an asset
Willing to be subjected to random drug & alcohol tests
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills in dealing with staff & public
Confidential & professional at all times
Knowledge of office/site management practices
Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality pertaining to contractors, staff & department information
Ability to work as a team player
