The successful candidate will ensure the safe supervision of all children and assist in the programming and meal preparation. The Early Childhood Educator is required to juggle multiple tasks & situations. This position will start late in May and will end on August 31st. Main duties will include but not limited to:
Observe children and report observations to supervisor
Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
Diaper and feed infants and toddlers
Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
Assist in housekeeping duties
Prepare and serve lunch and snacks
Required Qualifications:
Must have been a full time student in the 2016/17 school year and planning to return to full time studies in the fall of 2017.
Certificate in First Aid and CPR
Criminal Record Check
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Must meet the qualifications outlined in the Service Canada Canada Summer Jobs Applicant Guide.
