Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Expeditor is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of items and communicating any updates in schedules for Brandt Engineered Products division. The incumbent is to work with project managers, buyers, suppliers and other related personnel to ensure on-time delivery is met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure confirmations of the orders have been received from the supplier.
Report any delivery delays to the buyer; requisitioned immediately and identify any corrective action required.
Develop good relations with the supply base.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance group to address delivery related Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) with suppliers.
Maintain purchasing project scheduling board to ensure on time complete purchasing.
Ensure all purchase orders and related documentation is filed properly.
Work closely with the Project Managers and Shop Foreman to understand and identify any potential production concerns.
Managed the payment/reconciliation of transportation invoices.
Provide back-up support and coverage for the buyers as required
Required Skills:
Some experience in expediting or a related discipline.
Preference given to individuals with a procurement certificate, diploma or equivalent.
Strong analytical, problem solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work in a team-orientated environment and independently.
