As a Content Strategist/UX Writer, you are responsible for the strategy & execution of content across multiple communication channels. You will collaborate with UXUI designers, visual designers, and writers to produce user-friendly, informative experiences. Developing a deep understanding of Vendasta's target market (industry, user personas, common vernacular, behaviour patterns) is essential for success.
Responsibilities
Develop clear & consistent nomenclature, a style guide, and best practices to be used across applications and communication channels
Write high-quality technical content for Vendasta: UI copy, instructional text, system help, tooltips, onboarding systems, software release articles, marketing assets, etc.
Ensure in-app information is easy to find, understand, and presented at the right time
Assist with information architecture initiatives to determine proper navigation hierarchy, page structure, information schema, and content repurposability
Produce content models to define required content types and their relationships to one another
Develop relationships with Vendasta partners to ensure our system communicates with them effectively
Work with Product Managers, Stakeholders, UX Designers, and Developers to define content requirements
Evaluate usability of current and upcoming system features and provide constructive feedback
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (UX, Marketing, and/or Computer Sciences considered an asset)
3+ years creating digital content
Superior writing and editing skills, supported by portfolio
Strong communication and time-management
Experience developing content for large-scale, interactive systems that span multiple applications and channels
Ability to collaborate on projects to translate concepts into easy-to-understand interactive experiences
Experience planning for and developing useful content including instructional text, error and confirmation messages, support content, etc.
