Restorex Disaster Restoration is a family-owned company providing 24-hour emergency restoration services to the Regina & Melville areas. Working directly with insurance companies, we specialize in restoring residential or commercial properties that may have been damaged by fire, smoke, water, or sewage.
We are looking for energetic, safety-minded individuals to be a part of our team as a Demolition/Asbestos Abatement Technician. We offer our employees a competitive wage, great benefits, and a safe and rewarding work environment!
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
-Extract water from flooded properties
-Performing demolition including removing damaged or wet building materials
-Complete installation of containment for moderate to high-risk work activities as per OH&S
-Remove asbestos-containing materials from properties as per legislation and company procedures
-Participate in weekly safety meetings
-Follow an on-call rotation
-Ensure company policies and procedures, including health & safety, are being followed
-Accept direction from senior employees and communicate daily with foremen and PMs
-Maintain a clean job site and equipment at all times
-Perform other general labor tasks
Requirements
-Positive and professional attitude
-Able to work as part of a team
-Physically fit
-Safety conscious
-Willing to wear and work in provided PPE
-Clean shaven
-Completed grade 12 or equivalent
Candidates must:
-Have a valid drivers license and be bondable
-Provide a clean criminal record check and drivers record
-Be legally entitled to work in Canada
-Read, write, and understand English
Preference will be given to individuals who are willing to work extended hours and have experience in asbestos remediation, construction, or restoration experience. We are willing to train the ideal candidate if necessary.
