Accountabilities:
Reporting
Working with the accounting teamto ensure billings, payables and payroll for the departments are processed accurately and are properly reflected in the financial statements
Producing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow for the various departments and subsidiaries
Changing and adapting reporting structure as the business structure evolves
Oversight of intercompany transactions and reporting
Review and analysis of monthly financial reporting including variance analysis
Oversight of technical accounting policies such as lease accounting, stock purchase plans, revenue recognition and other ASPE compliance
Tax
Assist with tax planning for the organization
Assist with preparation of Corporate income tax returns and commodity tax returns
Assist with transfer pricing planning and compliance
Calculation of effective tax rates, FIT, and accounting balances
Treasury
Cash flow and balance sheet modeling to enable effective cash management
Assist in creating and executing FX modeling and forecasting
Capital structure assistance
Qualifications:
Strong (5+ years) of industry or public accounting experience
Strong understanding of reporting structures
A formal accounting designation or working towards one preferred
Ability to Supervise
