Position Summary:
Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID) is looking to fill the position of Manager of Marketing and Communications. This position is responsible for administering and/or coordinating all marketing and communications efforts. At least five years of experience in a similar position is ideal. The applicant should possess a degree/diploma in Communication and/or Marketing and must be self-motivated and flexible. The applicant must possess strong problem solving, communication and writing skills. They must also possess the ability to organize and coordinate work efficiently, set priorities and to motivate others, along with the personal flexibility to adapt to changes. They must work well independently and in a team environment and possess excellent time management skills and take the initiative and bring forward new ideas. Experience with Customer/Client Services is considered an asset.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute marketing campaigns for all events & programming
- Write copy for all marketing materials, website, social media platforms
- Work as a project manager & oversee the creation of a wide variety of advertising & collateral with external suppliers, freelancers & subcontractors
- Safeguard the RDBID brand & ensure its usage follows established Brand Standard Guidelines
- Monitor marketing budget to ensure it is being used appropriately & effectively
- Write copy for press releases, Annual Report & other materials
- Media relations, setting up press conferences, contacting media, and seeking earned media opportunities
- Create and distribute support materials
- Manage & update RDBID website content
- Develop & implement social media strategies, execution, management & monitoring
- Generate ideas for the work plan
- Attend conferences & workshops
