Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities: (Abbreviated)
Provide ongoing leadership, direction, training and recognition to associates.
Assist in maintaining building equipment and systems in accordance with established preventative/predictive maintenance programs/schedules.
Perform minor repairs including wallpaper, painting, woodwork, plumbing and electrical.
Ability to diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment.
Pool maintenance, including repairs, where required.
Assist with administrative duties; schedules, payroll, performance journal updates, etc.
Assist in establishing, implementing, and monitoring standards of service and operation.
Control labour costs when possible by effective shift management.
Maintain grounds including snow removal where required.
Assist/conduct performance appraisals and performance management as necessary.
Assist with implementing strategies to achieve departmental goals and financial profitability.
Responsible for the smooth operation of the department in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
Identify and resolve guest concerns/complaints to their satisfaction.
Understand and ensure compliance of all Health and Safety procedures, regulations and laws such as labels on cleaning products, correct ergonomics and ensuring protective equipment is worn when necessary.
All other duties as assigned.
