Description

Interstate Batteries is currently recruiting for the position of Route Sales Manager. Responsible for servicing and aggressively expanding an assigned set of customers along a predetermined route, collecting money, loading trucks, selling batteries and maintaining displays. A class 1 licence is required. Some overnight travel is required in the province, but the position is Monday to Friday.

Job Components:
    Sell new batteries
    Invoicing, warranty reconciliation, collect money
    Establish, build and maintain above average dealer relationships
    Set up new accounts
    Complete documentation on a timely basis
    Rotate dealer stock

Qualifications:
    Must have a clean drivers abstract
    Class 3 or 1A drivers licence
    Prior direct sales experience highly desirable
    Good communication skills
    Strong customer service skills
    Able to make frequent, independent judgement decisions

Work environment:
    Must be able to lift 50 pounds +    
    Some overnight travel required
